Call for Views on DCSF Website Plans
The Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) would like to hear your views on their plans to merge three key websites - Every Child Matters, Sure Start & Local Authorities websites - into one channel.
The DCSF currently provides guidance, publications, case studies, policy updates and news etc for professionals through a number of channels. The plan to merge the Every Child Matters (ECM), Local Authorities and Sure Start channels into one website is intended to make it easier for users to find what they are looking for.
A short online questionnaire is available for you to let the DCSF know what you think of their plans.
Please note that all responses will be anonymous and the questionnaire will close on 14 November 2008.

Forced marriage consultation launched 23 July 2008
The Forced Marriage (Civil Protection) Act 2007 provides for the Government to issue statutory guidance setting out the responsibilities of all agencies dealing with forced marriage issues. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office is consulting on proposed new guidance relating to forced marriage.
This consultation is an opportunity for practitioners and the public to comment on the draft guidance. It lays out statutory requirements that agencies must have with regards to tackling this issue, which will build on their existing responsibilities to protect children and vulnerable adults.
The guidance will play a key role in the fight against forced marriage. It will make sure victims and potential victims receive the response and support they need.
The consultation is available on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website.
